About the Director:
For over 25 years Robert Garner has pioneered sustainability
programs with international organizations and businesses as a
professional musician and technical specialist on international development and market
based conservation programs. Conservation of species specific high end forest products are his specialty. He has worked in Africa, Asia, Central and South America, Europe and the United States and lived in China for three years tracking forest product trends.
Robert has held positions with a variety of international organizations such as US Director of Fauna & Flora International, Director of SoundWood, Speakers Bureau Child Soldiers - UNICEF, and Public Relations for the Office of Technology Assessment - US Congress. He
has provided consulting services across sectors. Clients have included the
music products industry, the timber and forest products industries, seafood sector, philanthropic sector as well as environmental and social
NGOs. Robert holds a Masters in History and International Relations from the London
School of Economics.
